We all know that feeling when escape is imminent. You can feel it in the horizon just as you’ve been shackled down into workload. We didn’t want to come back to office, to hundreds of emails. We all wanted to set our out-of-office reply to something funny like “Sorry, We are currently out-of-office trying our hand at adventurous activities in Vikramgad.” Hahaha! Though it wasn’t carried out, one can always dream about it. Vikramgad was going to be our adventure and what an adventure it was! On 14^th of March 2014, the AMO, M3 and Project Labs teams took some time out from their busy schedules, for a two day team outing to Vikramgad. The trip began at Rohan Resort where we had an amazing time at the water park. Thereafter, we followed it up with an equally delicious lunch, exciting cricket matches and moved on to Nature Trails Resorts- Sajan Nature Club. The nature club enchanted us from the moment we arrived. We were right away fascinated by the beauty of nature before us and fell in love with it. As we headed to our respective tents to dump our luggage bags, we were enthralled by the captivating beauty of the tents. This unusual lodging site led us to a most memorable stay, as for most of us it was our first sleepover in a tent and yes ‘ODOMOS’ was our savior from the insect army! Later on, we engaged ourselves in some team building activities like ‘treasure hunt’ and ‘cooking’. Although, cooking in wood fire was a challenge, we were proud of all the chefs who could pull off the lavish dinner. There were mouthwatering mix-veg curry, Punjabi dal, jeera rice, veg raita, chapattis and salad to top it off. After a scrumptious dinner we all gathered around the camp fire and played dumb charades. After the fun galore, we returned to our tents late at night to rest. In the morning, we set out to discover what Sajan Nature club had in store for us. Trying our hand at Kayaking was long overdue for most of us and it couldn’t have been better. The ‘Valley Crossing’ and ‘Burma Bridge’ climbing were equally exciting and left us with a sense of joy. The challenging and adventure rewarding- Vikramgad trip was one of the best trips we had ever taken as a team. Big thanks to the gregarious group who were able to pull off such an exciting and memorable event.

Mumbai…the city of dreams…

Mumbai…the city of dreams. It is said people come here to fulfill their dreams.

I, a dreamer whose favorite hobby has always been dreaming, today even I’m standing here. Don’t know why my fate has got me here, because Mumbai was never in my dreams.

My dream, my journey, my destination was somewhere else, but after coming here I’ve got a weird feeling. May be this was never my dreamland, but who knows even my dreams come searching for me here. Who knows even my dreams come true in Mumbai?

This city is really crazy!!! It really gives you a lifetime experience.

There are sleepless, sparkling eyes all around, which are still not tired of dreaming their favorite dreams.

The fast moving life. Whether it’s a business tycoon or a small roadside Vada Pav vendor (Indian Burger), nobody has time for anyone. The funniest part is whether its day or night you’ll always find people in a hurry for office or a date 😛 after all they don’t have time.

Whether the city is on red alert, or after a bomb blast, the life here goes on. The best part of the people here is there smile. I think that’s the only thing that keeps them moving.

The lovely old couples at Marine drives, feeling the sea breeze holding each other’s hands. They still see love in each other’s eyes. The old man with stick still finds himself strong enough to give his hand to his lady while stepping down from the pavement. His grip assures her that he can still take care of her, and he still loves her and she assures her love for him with a smile.

The group of grannies sitting together and gossiping about their husbands. Still not tired of caring about their husbands and their bad habits.

The young couples sitting in silence after a hectic week and work load, sharing one cup of coffee, feeling each other hand. Some were sorting out their life problems, some teasing each other, some arguing on a silly matter, some just sitting and feel each other’s presence.  That’s there lovely dates. Their happiness is in being with each other.

Children who find happiness in playing with sand, the sea fascinate them. The priceless smile on their after they are done with making a sand castle.

This fast city seems to stop at sea shore… When I stand facing the sea, feeling the sea breeze cut through my body, I feel the time has stopped, I can hear my heartbeat, I feel alive.

I felt life, I felt love, and more than that I felt me in all such beautiful moments which made me smile for no reason. Yes, they are special.

My Mango Day… :)

Morning, as I step out of my house,

In one of my favorite dress,

I tend to hear music coming from all directions.

Seems everyone on the street is greeting me,

With a big smile on their face.

The world looks more colorful today.

While working, while sleeping,

While walking down the street in my own pace and gait.

While dancing, while singing,

While kissing the angel , my neighbor’s baby girl.

While talking to myself, while day-dreaming,

While pulling the cheeks of the cute little boy waiting at the bus stop.

I feel as if you always keep looking at me and smiling,

Trying to capture all sorts of different expressions on my face,

Taking a deep breath, pretending to skip a heart beat,

feeling lucky to have me in your life.

Whenever I stand in-front of the mirror to get ready,

I see you  standing behind me,

Looking at me with the most beautiful smile on your face,

Gesturing me that I look beautiful today.

Tonight as I look at the moon,out from my window,

The soft breeze passes through my hair.

The soft breeze passes that through me, makes me shiver,

And it brings me your smell.

I stand there alone talking to the wind,

Requesting the humble wind to go to you,

And give you a feeling of me, my presence.

Requesting the silent wind to whisper in your ears,

That I love you.

Tonight, as I sleep,

My pillow reminds me of you,

The breeze sings to me while I sleep,

Takes me in a world of my favorite dreams,

Where I’m sleeping in your arms, safe and sound.
